At the heart of Arctic Tavel Experiences is Stefan, the key player in the founding of the company. Raised amidst the thundering roar of snowmobiles in the harsh winter wonderland of the highlands north of his native town, Selfoss, Stefan discovered the thrill that would fuel his life's ambition. His upbringing instilled in him a deep love for the Icelandic wilderness and a passion for sharing its wonders with the world.

Thor, one of the founders, is quoted to say, "It was behind the wheel of a typical icelandic super jeep, navigating adventures through the rugged landscapes of Iceland, where I found my sense of belonging. In early adulthood, I found myself feeling disconnected, searching for purpose amidst the monotony of everyday life. But then, during a solitary journey through the wilderness, something shifted within me. This is my background, this is the environment I was raised in, the things that filled me with meaning growing up. As I traversed icy rivers and snow-covered plains, I discovered a profound sense of freedom and exhilaration that reminded me of something I had experienced before, during my upbringing, I found my center. Each moment spent exploring the untamed beauty of the icelandic wilderness ignited a passion within me—a passion to share this transformative experience with others. That's when I realized my "why".
